WYOMING CHRONICLE

Raising Wild Turkeys

  • Aired: 11/18/2011
  • 27:48
  • Rating: TV-G
Wild turkeys, any hunter will tell you, are secretive birds. So naturalist Joe Hutto "imprinted" newborn turkeys, hoping they would bond and follow him. A short project turned into a year-long adventure for Hutto, who learned things no one knew about turkey behavior... and about himself. Hutto lives today on a small ranch in Wyoming, where he has begun a study of a resident mule deer herd.
